White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been a very loyal minion when it comes to defending Trump from his daily f*ck ups. Unfortunately, that seemingly unbreakable relationship may be coming to an end, because he just humiliated her in front of the entire world.
Trump has recently been melting down over his recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, in which he was exposed for bragging about his relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The WSJ reported that Trump had said the words, “I probably have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un”, which Trump is now denying (even though there is an audio recording of him saying those very words).

In an attempt to once again delegitimize the free press, the Trump administration responded to the alleged “misquote” and Huckabee Sanders rushed to defend her boss on Twitter, highlighting the supposed discrepancy. On social media, Huckabee Sanders tried to convince everyone that Trump’s real quote had been, “I’d probably have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un.”
Here’s her belligerent tweet:

Now of course, this is a subtle difference, but Huckabee Sanders still tried to pummel the WSJ – and instantly regretted it. She was humiliated when the WSJ responded to her claims, providing audio of the president that proved her wrong and defended their reporting of Trump’s statement:
We have reviewed the audio from our interview with President Trump, as well as the transcript provided by an external service, and stand by what we reported. Here is audio of the portion the White House disputes. https://t.co/eWcmiHrXJg pic.twitter.com/bx9fGFWaPw

But Huckabee Sanders just couldn’t let it go. Just a few minutes later, the press secretary released a nearly identical tape to try and prove her point:

Unfortunately, she failed miserably – and this all happened on social media, where nearly the entire world could see what a fool she just made of herself in trying to defend her erratic, unhinged boss. Anyone who listens to that audio can easily tell that the WSJ’s reporting was accurate, and now the White House is frantically scrambling to clean up Trump’s mess.
