Tom Brady Tells Trump To Shove It; Makes Sideline Protest LIVE In Front Of America (IMAGES)

In response to President Trump referring to any NFL player who kneels in protest during the national anthem as a “son of a b*tch,” more players than ever before have chosen to do just that at the beginning of Sunday’s games.

In addition to the many players who have taken a knee during the national anthem, several others have stood behind them with their arms linked to show solidarity, including New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Some people have responded by praising Brady’s actions on social media, but others have said that they weren’t sufficient.

Brady, who has been open in the past about his friendship with Trump, also posted a photo on Instagram that many have interpreted as a sign of support for his fellow players.

‘Strength. Passion. Love. Brotherhood. Team. Unity. Commitment. Dedication. Determination. Respect. Loyalty. Work. #nflplayer’

He also commented on a photo posted by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers, which featured him kneeling with other players, with a flexing arm emoji.

Shortly after Brady was seen linking arms with his teammates during the national anthem, Trump tweeted in support of this gesture, saying that it is “good.”

‘Great solidarity for our National Anthem and for our Country. Standing with locked arms is good, kneeling is not acceptable. Bad ratings!’

Brady’s decision came after the owner of his team, Robert Kraft, who is also a friend of Trump’s, released a statement saying that he was “disappointed” with the president’s comments.

‘I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the comments made by the President on Friday. I am proud to be associated with so many players who make such tremendous contributions in positively impacting our communities.

‘Their efforts, both on and off the field, help bring people together and make our community stronger. There is no greater unifier in this country than sports, and unfortunately, nothing more divisive than politics. I think our political leaders could learn a lot from the lessons of teamwork and the importance of working together toward a common goal. Our players are intelligent, thoughtful and care deeply about our community and I support their right to peacefully affect social change and raise awareness in a manner that they feel is most impactful.’
